Music Theater projects @KVS Brussels, with Guy Dermul: "Barakstad", "Skieven", "Mest"
After having heard my composition for string quartet, Guy wanted to make it part of the theater project Barakstad. added some new compositions and we invited drummer Han Bennink for a musical collaboration. The compositions for strings were performed by the Ictus string quartet, with George Alexander Van Dam (violin), Igor Semenoff (violin), Aurélie Entringer (viola), Geert De Bièvre (cello).
For Skieven, we found a B3 Hammond Organ, and i had the happiest time working on rather unconventional compositions for this beautiful instrument. A pitty this instrument is heavy and very expensive, if not, i would definitly have become a pupil of Barbara Dennerlein and Rhoda Scott...
It was during the music -theater production Mest that i met the singer (-songwriter) Naomi Sijmons and together with Lucy Grauman (alto singer and beautifuly driven choir leader) and me on Fender Rhodes, we performed songs (that later led to the project “princess4president”).
