Collaboration with
the Ictus Ensemble
In 1998 i was asked to compose music for the silent movie Grossstadtzigeuner by Laszlo Moholy Nagy. This music for octet was performed live at the Lunatheater in Brussels by the Ictus ensemble (direction Georges-Elie Octors) and commissioned by the Filharmonische Vereniging Brussel. The project was also performed in Porto, Portugal.
Piet Van Bockstael , oboist of the ensemble , commissioned a composition for oboe and string trio. Ebe was performed in the “Festival van Vlaanderen/ Glouden Vleugels concerten 2003” at the Flemish Parlement .
The stringquartet i composed initialy for the Minguet quartet, (Köln) commissioned by November Music Festival (’S-Hertogenbosch, Nl, 2006) , was re-arranged for the Music Theater production Barakstad and performed by the Ictus String Quartet. George Alexander Van Dam, first violin, Igor Semenoff, second violin, Aurélie Entringer, viola, Geert De Bièvre, cello in 2011.
