piano quartet
In between 1991 and 1993, i was member of the « Bureau des pianistes , a piano quartet
(extended to quintet) with Jean-Luc Plouvier , Jean-Luc Fafchamps, Laurence Cornez, Stephane Ginsburgh and myself. We played works for one to 2, 3, 4 and 5 pianos and focused mainly on contemporary music and first performances of new works. It was an intensif and inspiring period with concerts at a.o. Le Botanique, Flagey, Théâtre Banlieue (Ars Musica Festival), Les Brigittines- all in Brussels, De Singel, Antwerp, C.C Strombeek, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Charleroi.
Our repertoire including four-handed works by J. Brahms, L. Beethoven, R. Schumann, C. Debussy, M. Ravel, F. Poulenc and others. The integral works of M. Feldman for one and more pianos, works by Messiaen, Boesmans for 2 pianos, Schnittke, Dalapicolla, pianoquartet by J.L Fafchamps, W. Hus, 'Duo’ K. De Windt works for 2 pianos in quarter-tone tuning by Wydznegradski and others (March 1993).
